Terms of use

What this service is, what it is not, and what is expected of whoever uses it.

1. What the service does

Handmetric takes the written description of a work process, turns it into ordered steps and estimates, for each process, its annual cost, its automation potential, its risk and its priority. It works only with the text you write: it does not connect to any system of your company or read anything on its own.

2. What this service is NOT

It is not consultancy, nor an audit in the professional sense, nor a measurement. It is an estimate made from what you tell us, with documented rules and the help of a language model.

Every figure carries its confidence and, where there is one, its range. A figure that could not be estimated is not presented as a figure: the axis says which data is missing. Totals add up only what was estimated and say how many processes were left out.

The description is yours and the estimate depends on it: if the process is not done the way you tell it, the figure does not hold. That is part of the result and must not be ignored when reading it.

3. What you describe

By describing a process you declare that you may tell it: because it belongs to your company, because you manage it, or because its owner has given you permission. If you name people, you are the one answerable for being allowed to.

Do not describe third parties' processes without their authorisation, and do not include data that is not needed to estimate: no account numbers, no salaries of specific people, nothing from special categories. The service does not need them and the processing agreement asks you not to include them.

4. Limitation of liability

The service is provided as is, with no guarantee that the estimates are accurate or fit for a particular purpose. They are estimates: they depend on what you tell us, on the service's rules and on the language model that helps order the steps, which can be wrong.

In particular: the model may misread a step or make up one that is not in the text. That is why the steps are shown before the figures, so you can check them, and why no axis gives a figure without stating its confidence.

No liability is accepted for decisions taken on the basis of an estimate —what to automate, whom to hire, what to stop doing—. The roadmap is an aid to the judgement of whoever runs the company, not a substitute for it.

5. Plans and availability

The service is offered free of charge under the free plan, which allows 3 processes to be described per organisation; the processes described can be analysed, completed and taken into the report without limit. The Pro plan (€29 a month or €290 a year, taxes not included) removes that cap; the Advisory plan (€99 a month or €990 a year, taxes not included) is Pro for auditing several companies. Both are subscribed by email and paid by bank transfer for the chosen period, with no automatic renewal: when the period ends the organisation returns to the free plan, keeping what is stored, unless it renews. Prices may change for future periods, never for one already paid. The service is offered with no availability commitment and may be modified, interrupted or withdrawn at any time; were it withdrawn during a paid period, the proportional part would be refunded.

6. Your data

What you describe is kept in your area, encrypted, and processed only to provide the service. The details are in the privacy policy and the processing agreement, and you can ask for your account to be deleted whenever you want.

7. Fair use

There are limits on requests per origin and on analyses per account to keep the service available to everyone. Trying to get around them, or using the service in an automated way at scale, may result in access being blocked.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. See the legal notice for the owner's details and the applicable jurisdiction.
